Megan Siedman is the manager of R&D partnerships at EF+Math. She is returning to the program after formerly serving as the Educator Engagement & Equity Fellow in the Spring of 2021. Prior to returning to EF+Math, she completed a Fulbright grant in southwestern Bulgaria where she taught English and American Studies to middle and high school students. As an undergraduate, she was selected as a member of the NSF’s 2018 Math TEU cohort at Brown University and was awarded the Wyskiel Williams Award for promise in mathematics teaching. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Mathematics from Williams College and completed post-baccalaureate coursework at the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education (BSME). Academically, she is interested in the interplay between mathematics, culture, and the classroom and aspires to study the impact of mathematics as a cultural entity, particularly in media and in “math-lore.” She looks forward to returning to and learning from the wider EF+Math community as they engage in the critical work ahead.
