Lawrence Ke Xu was the former dean of instruction, assessment and innovation at e3 Civic High, named one of the 41 most innovative schools in America by CNN Money. He has been a high school math teacher in China, a liaison between American corporations and Chinese government entities, a high school math/Mandarin teacher in urban schools in San Diego, and a world language specialist and math specialist in a suburban elementary school in San Diego. The insights of being a student and an educator in both Chinese and American educational systems equips him with unique perspectives and innovative ideas. He earned a B.S. in applied math from Beijing Institute of Commerce, an M.S. in statistics, a teaching credential in math and Mandarin, and a doctorate in educational leadership from San Diego State University.
