Dr. Crystal Menzies is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Learning Research and Development Center at the University of Pittsburgh; her current research focuses on instructional equity in mathematics and literacy classrooms. She is also the Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of EmancipatED, an organization that centers stories of joy, exploration, and resistance within the African Diaspora through the creation of educational resources and curricula. Her research interests include racial identity development, culturally relevant pedagogy, and community cultural wealth.
