Chief Learning Officer

Chris Liang-Vergara is the Chief Learning Officer for AERDF. Liang-Vergara is a nationally recognized leader in education equity and innovation, with nearly two decades of experience in systemic change, student-centered design, and educational technology focusing on historically deprioritized populations in education. Prior to AERDF, he served as the Chief of Learning Innovation at LEAP Innovations, the Dir of Instructional Technology at FirstLine Schools, and was a high school science and English teacher for eight years. Chris holds BAs in Biology and Secondary Education from Washington University in St. Louis and a M.A.Ed. in Curriculum, Technology, and Education Reform from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Liang-Vergara is a proud Pahara Fellow, member of Education Leaders of Color (EdLoc), and father of two boys.
