Amy Allen began her own educational consulting group in 2021 to empower teachers and districts to change what education looks like in a math classroom. Before owning her own consulting group, she worked as the Director of Professional Learning at LEAP Innovations, which provides in-person professional development and coaching that supports personalizing instruction in classrooms and schools. Allen co-designed and facilitated the Pilot and Learning Network programs for LEAP for three years. One of Allen’s main goals is to create opportunities for teachers to learn more about implementing personalized math learning in their classrooms. Allen was formerly a classroom teacher for 15 years in both parochial and Chicago Public Schools. For three of those years, she served as an instructional coach for grades PreK–12. She earned her MA degrees through Saint Xavier in Teaching and Leadership and Concordia University in Reading Education. She also has a Mathematics Specialization Endorsement and is an Urban Teacher Education Program Certified Instructional Coach.
