Amber Majors Ladipo is a Black child champion and developmental scientist. She serves as Associate Director of Research and Evaluation at Village of Wisdom, a community organization that embeds parent wisdom in its processes to promote culturally affirming learning environments for Black youth. She finds opportunities to connect with Black parents and youth to co-develop research and assessment tools to be most purposeful in her work. She has worked with marginalized youth over the last 9 years who seek autonomy in building their communities, and this has fueled her passion for community driven research. Additionally, Amber is a macro practice Social Worker and Doctoral Candidate in Applied Developmental Sciences, which intersect to frame her approach in centering the experiences of communities to learn how we best support the health and well-being of communities.
