Neurodiversity Superbloom
What if we could unlock the learning powers—strengths, skills, and strategies—in every neurodiverse learner?
One in five people have learning disabilities, with rates of ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD growing. Neurodiversity Superbloom seeks to help neurodivergent learners identify their learning powers (strengths, skills, strategies) and guide them into an understanding of their unique abilities rather than deficit labels of disability. Our research aims to develop a taxonomy of neurodiversity-affirming learning powers to build truly individualized learning tools, help learners advocate for themselves in and out of the classroom, bring parents and teachers in as partners to help them better support the learners in their care.
I am a designer by heart, a strategist by nature and a lifelong learner. Fifteen years in philanthropy and another two decades in the public sector helped me dream big, move quickly and fail fast. I have advised national education and state workforce development leaders and launched a variety of local change efforts from revolutionizing school lunch to designing new college/career pathways for high school students.
I’m curious about how to build creative thinking and risk-taking into the DNA of an organization; reinvent the role philanthropy plays in civil society; and find better ways to help women of color in leadership positions navigate transitions.
I never need an excuse to shop at a farmers market, visit an art gallery or dive into a swimming pool. I live in Oakland, CA and my greatest joy is cooking delicious food for my amazing husband and three beautiful children.
As a product and innovation leader, I help organizations navigate ambiguity, prototype possibilities, and create new products. I also serve as Berkeley-Haas innovation & design faculty and Nasdaq entrepreneurship advisor–specializing in product, leadership, and strategic foresight. I previously led zero-to-one product at Deloitte Digital.
I co-founded Craft Futures with Carina to make innovative leaders more responsible & responsible leaders more innovative.
At my best, I am facilitating teams through gnarly problems. Or running along the San Francisco Bay. Or tweaking brew methods in my lifelong quest for coffee perfection! Also karaoke.
