David Tu

Associate Director of Engineering

David serves as the Associate Director of Engineering for Assessment for Good. He has over eight years of experience in education technology software engineering, spanning management, application architecture, and full stack development. He also has over nine years of experience in enterprise software user experience engineering, spanning design, research, and usability testing.

Prior to joining the Assessment For Good team, he was an Engineering Manager at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative where he led a diverse team of software engineers responsible for differentiated learning on the K-12 Summit Learning platform. David also served as the Lead Application Architect for IBM Watson Education Classroom, a cloud-based cognitive application for educators. David brings deep expertise in user-centered product engineering for education.

David holds a master’s degree in Education from Stanford University Graduate School of Education, an MBA from University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of California at Berkeley.
