New Research from AERDF and ETS Reveals Decoding Threshold is a Key Barrier to Reading Proficiency in Older K-12 Students

Sara has spent almost two decades working to improve the public education experience and outcomes for students of color and students living in poverty. She worked inside schools as a teacher, literacy coach, and instructional school leader, and she supported educators and schools as a strategy consultant with the Bridgespan Group and at citywide nonprofits in Memphis, Tennessee, and in Oakland, California. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Yale and her Master’s in Education in Policy, Organization, and Leadership at Stanford. Sara lives in Davis, California with her husband and their two young daughters.
