Colette Owens is the Sr. Implementation Manager for Reading Reimagined. She began her career as a middle school special educator in St. Louis, MO. She served as a coach for new teachers and as the Managing Director, Program at Teach For America – St. Louis. She moved into school system leadership as the Director of Academic Strategy and Curriculum for St. Louis Public Schools and then as the Executive Director of Hiawatha Academies, a charter network in Minneapolis, MN. Recently, she was a literacy coach for kindergarten through third grade classrooms with Groves Literacy Partnerships. Colette holds a M.A. in Special Education from Webster University and a B.A. in Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. She lives in Minneapolis, MN with her family.
